The Christopher Schilling Foundation is honored to be hosting their 2nd Annual “Tee’d Off for a Cure” Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday, September 15th, 2015 at the Morgan Run Club and Resort. This fund raising event delivers a fun afternoon of golf, dinner and a silent/live auction. The purpose of this event aligns with the mission of Christopher’s Foundation: connecting to cure Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Monies raised from this event are donated to JDRF. Additionally, Christopher’s Foundation will be sponsoring a T1D child and his/her family on a trip of that child’s dreams.

Christopher was brought into our world on January 7, 2005. As a baby Christopher always had an angelic look, and he consistently delivers a smile that can steal your heart. For the past 9 years, Christopher has thrived in life. He’s grown to be quite the athlete, playing golf, baseball, basketball and flag football. Christopher was selected to play on an All Star Pony League Baseball team in 2013. In the classroom, he’s an incredible student. He’s excelled in math and reading, and is always interested in pushing the educational envelope.

On June 26th, 2012, Christopher was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. You would think that in learning such news this would cause a child to withdraw from his daily activities. Christopher continues to amaze family and friends with how he’s grabbed the bull by the horns and is committed to beating this beast.

Christopher chose to start his Foundation with a focus on connecting families, friends and communities, furthering to raise awareness, and to educate about T1D. In an effort to give back to the organization that’s guided him, Christopher will be chairing annual Golf Tournaments, Kids Carnivals, and other fund raising events in an effort to increase the overall support towards JDRF.
